Speaker’s brief Bio
Prof. Jinling Wang holds a PhD in GPS/Geodesy from the Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia. He was a postdoctoral research fellow of Australian Research Council (ARC) from 2000-2002. At present, he is an associate professor in the School of Surveying & Geospatial Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW). He is also Luojia Scholarship professor, Wuhan University. His major research interests are in the areas of navigation and geospatial mapping with multi-sensors, such as GNSS, INS, cameras. He has published over 200 papers in journals and conference proceedings as well as two commercial software packages.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN), UK, and a Fellow of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG). He was awarded the Outstanding International Research Fellow from the University of Calgary in 2003. He was elected 2004 President of the International Association of Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems (CPGPS). He was awarded the Japan Invitation Fellow from the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) in 2011, ), and the Founding Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Global Positioning Systems (2002-2007). He is a member of the Editorial Board for the international journal GPS Solutions, International Journal of Navigation and Observations,Journal of Global Positioning Systems, and President of IAG Sub-Commission 4.2 (2011-2015) on Geodesy in Geospatial Mapping and Engineering.
