On December 23, 2019, the China Railway Society announced the list of award-winning projects for the 2019 "China Railway Society Science and Technology Award". 15 achievements of our school were awarded. Among them, the environmental discipline of our faculty was the second completed unit of the "High-speed Railway Train in Loess Area Research on the adverse geological environment effect of special vibration and its disaster mechanism'' won the second prize of the 2019 China Railway Society Science and Technology Award. The main winners include Professor Yang Lizhong, Professor He Yulong, Lecturer Su Kai of environmental disciplines. This is the second prize of the environmental discipline after winning the second prize of the 2015 China Railway Society Science and Technology Award (the first completion unit).
This project relies on the two railway projects already in operation in the loess area, Xibao Passenger Dedicated Line and Zhengxi Passenger Dedicated Line. The project has conducted in-depth research on the propagation mechanism of the special vibration of high-speed trains in the geological body of the loess area through the combination of on-site monitoring, indoor testing and numerical simulation. Scientifically analyzed and quantitatively studied the geodynamic effects of special vibrations, the adverse effects of special vibrations of high-speed railways on the geological environment and the mechanism of geological disasters caused by them, and scientifically predicted possible geological disasters.
