Research Interests

My research has focused on the reconstruction of semantic 3D building models from dense 3D point clouds. My group has developed 3D CityModel, the international standard for city and landscape models approved by the Open Geospatial Consortium OGC. Recently I have focussed on semantic 3D indoor models from dense observation. I adapt methods from Machine Learning and applied them also for problems of agriculture such as early prediction of plant diseases and stress detection for dairy cattle which seems different but is methodically very related.
