Research Interests

He has long been engaged in teaching and scientific research of engineering geology.

The professional research direction is special geotechnical engineering and geological engineering. He has systematically studied monographs, papers and norms related to expansive rock and soil, and has a relatively comprehensive understanding of expansive rock and soil issues. Presided over and participated in more than 10 projects at the provincial and ministerial level and above, and conducted special research on special geotechnical engineering geological issues such as swelling rock soil, red bed soft rock, red clay, soft soil, frozen soil, and saline rock soil. Co-authored and published 2 academic monographs《Special Geotechnical Properties and Engineering Application of Red Beds in Southwest China》and《Railway Rock Slope》, in which special chapters systematically discussed the problems of red bed mudstone expansive and expansive rock slopes. Published more than 30 high-level papers, roughly forming a series of papers on expansive rock and soil, a series of papers on red bed engineering geology and a series of papers on special geological hazards. Co-authored and published a textbook of《Civil Engineering Geology》, wrote the special geotechnical chapters in it, and systematically sorted out special geotechnical engineering geological issues.

The teaching and academic research direction is learning science and teaching design. He lectures on national quality courses and national resource sharing courses《Civil Engineering Geology》; presided over the construction of《Civil Engineering Geology》MOOC courses; lectured on《Special Geotechnical Engineering》and other postgraduate courses ; Lectures on the professional course of geotechnical engineering《geotechnical engineering survey and testing technology》; presides over the interdisciplinary/general courses《Thinking Learning》and《Thinking Design》of construction courses, which are well received by students.
