Education:
Zhenghong Jiang obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chengdu College of Geology in 1982. In 1984, she joined the School of Civil Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University.
Experience
From 2010 to the present, she has worked in the Faculty of Geosciences and Environmental Engineering. Her research focuses on the theory, method and technology of applied geophysical prospecting.Since working at SWJTU, Prof. Jiang has led 3 keyMinisterial Projectsof Railways’ Research and Development Plan of Science and Technology: The Research ofGeophysical Tomography Prospesting Technique and Application for Railway Subgrade Diseases; The Research of Geophysical CT Detection Equipment and Software Development for Lining Quality of Tunnel; The Research and Application of CT Detection Technique for Speed-raising Subgrade State. She has also led 2 Ministerial subprojects of Railways’ Research and Development Plan of Science and Technology: The Research of Operational Approach of Geophysical Prospecting for Subgrade Diseases of Existing Railway; The Research of Detection and Strengthening Technology of Subgrade and Tunnel under the Condition of Starting Heavy Axle-load Heavy Haul Train on Existing Lines. She has also passed 2 items of Ministerial Appraisal of Ministry of Railways and 2 items of Technical Evaluation.

1.The Research of Theory and Techniques of Applied Geophysical Prospecting;
2.The Development and Applications of Geophysical CT Prospecting Technique in Railway Lines, Bridges and Tunnels;
3.Engineering Geophysical Prospecting.
Teaching
Prof. Jiang has undertaken the teaching task of specialized courses for undergraduates and graduates since 1984. Her courses include: Geophysical Prospecting; Geophysical Well Logging; Theory of Geoelectricity and Engineering Application; The Methods and Applications of Geophysical Prospecting for Railway Geological Diseases. She supervises several undergraduates for their undergraduate projects, internships andpapers every academic year. She has also supervised dozens of graduate students .
